Intended Audience

Any professional who may become involved in the intervention of reports involving youth with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB).

Purpose

For MDTs that are affiliated with a Children’s Advocacy Center, the 2023 National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Standards for Accreditation fully endorses and supports CACs serving this population.

Learning Objectives

Adapt the MDT approach and CAC model to accommodate PSB cases by:

• Utilizing the NCA MDT Decision Flow Chart in PSB interventions.
• Explaining the value of engaging families throughout the process.
• Describing the importance of providing screening, assessment, treatment and support to the children and families involved.
