Dr. Hillary W. Petska, MD, MPH
Associate Professor. Associate Director of the Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship.

Dr. Petska received her Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison (2002), medical degree from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (2009), and Master of Public Health from Medical College of Wisconsin (2016). She completed her Pediatrics residency at American Family Children’s Hospital in 2012 and her Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship at Children’s Wisconsin in 2015.


She joined the Child Advocacy and Protection team at Medical College of Wisconsin in 2015 and was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2021. She has also served as the Associate Director of the Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin since 2019.


Dr. Petska is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics and has published on various topics pertaining to child maltreatment and medical conditions that may be mistaken for abuse or neglect. Her research interests include child abuse prevention, improved detection of child maltreatment, drug endangerment, child witness to family violence, and trauma-informed approaches.
